Its been a long time
We have 9 days until school starts. We are very excited. We found a comunity college in Spokane that we will be going to for our nursing degree. We chose it because the program is wait listed and we won't be competeing against each other and we won't need to get 2 seperate apartments in 2 cities. We have already started going through all of our stuff and are getting rid of the junk we have hauled around for 5 years or longer. I got rid of physics homework from my senior year of high school, 1998. Why did I still have it? Who knows. its gone now though. We are going to have a busy quarter. We are taking Major Cellular, Nutrition and Music Appriceation. We have heard that the teachers for Cell and Nutrition are really hard. We will be able to apply for the nursing program in the spring and will have a waiting period of about 1 year to 1.5 years. That is pretty much all we have been doing.

Elephant
Our last assignment in English was an in class essay. Here is mine, Bob didn't email a copy of his for me to post. Enjoy!
A disease scourges the earth in 2011. The type of disease is neither here nor there. All that is left alive on the planet are two organisms. One is an African elephant, in its natural habitat, untamed, feral, and completely wild. The other one is a human being, man or woman makes no difference. To narrow down the variables available as to the background and education of the human we will say he is from New York. He has no formal training in survival, or hunting. All he knows is the city and how to make a good orange mocha frappuccino. The navigation of the subway system seems easy to him compared to his frequent trips to South Africa to instruct the people there on the fine art of blending orange flavoring with coffee, cream, sugar, and ice. How did these two survive the mysterious disease? Who knows, maybe one of their genes mutated in the not so distant past which helped them survive the devastation. That is one answer we will never know for sure. There is one thing for certain though, only one mammal can survive.
While in the uninhabited city the man had reverted, his mind had become childlike, caused from the isolation. After months in the desolate city the man thought that he may not be alone in the world. Maybe after all the time spent in solitude playing it was time to go exploring. He packed up his moped and headed out.
He was 200 miles from the city when he started dozing at the handle bars, never hearing the advice to stop and take a nap; he fell asleep and drove his moped straight into the left hind leg of a sleeping elephant. He scared the elephant so bad it fainted.
Now he had to think fast. Was he going to try and befriend the elephant so neither of them would be alone ever again? In the middle of his daydreaming of his new found friend, and how they would frolic through the countryside of desolation, his stomach grumbled. He hadn’t eaten today. With his mind made up he took out his favorite ice pick and started to chisel away at the elephant’s neck. The elephant awoke and got to her feet trying to use her size and bellowing to intimidate the man. The man being incredulous got on his moped and went straight at her left hind leg. He hit her in the same spot and she fell to the ground. He had found a way to knock out the elephant. This process of chiseling and hitting went on for days until the man had finally hit a major artery and let the elephant kick the bucket.
With stomach grumbling and groaning and memories of his last meal in New York City of baby back ribs, the man leaned over and started to maw on the elephant’s chest. Pulling away quickly, spitting the taste of dirty, hairy hide out, he cried. Had his memory fooled him? This didn’t taste sweet and spicy. It certainly wasn’t falling off the bone. Feeling stupid he smacked himself in the head. He made a fire, carved a piece off the elephant and pulled out his Sweet Baby Rays barbeque sauce. He was able to roast the whole elephant in pieces and eat it one bite at a time.

Wow!!
I can't believe its been so long since I've been on here. Now tax season is over and the spring quarter is almost over too, 10 more days of lecture is all. It has just gone by so fast. Bob and I are doing well, really well. This is probably the best we've ever been. I am very grateful to have him as my husband. We have friends that are moving away. I am sad they will be gone but I know it will be better for them and their families. A couple is staying in state and at the most 2 hours away and the others are going to Texas. Besides that life is good. We have our schedules for summer and fall. We have been able to take the same classes this whole last year, which has been nice to have a built in study partner when needed. So that's our life right now. :)

Trying this out on my iPod
A little update, I'm 30 now. I had a great birthday we went to Spokane and played. We have been super busy with school and work. Right now I am working at H and R Block as well as workstudy plus doing homework. Bo started a new job at an adult family home and he is loving it. This last we weekend he worked 30+ hours during overnight shifts. Life is crazy. I am so ready for spring break.
